Dershaneler sınav odaklı hizmet verirler. Öğrenimden çok eğitimin öğretim ayağını tamamlamaya çalışırlar. Dershaneler son dönemlerde sosyal, kültürel ve sportif aktiviteler ile öğrencilerin ilgi ve yeteneklerini destekleyici, öğrencileri sosyalleştiren yerler olarak da faaliyet göstermektedirler.
